Thelma M. Spurgeon

SPURGEON, Thelma M. Age 94, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016. She was born February 12, 1922 in Highland County and moved to Dayton in 1944. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, George; and sister, Edna Jones of Port William, OH. She is survived by her son, Roger (Yola) Spurgeon of Xenia; and many other relatives and friends. Thelma was a busy person who was involved with the Senior Citizen Clubs of Dayton and Ft. McKinley, enjoyed traveling, and ceramics at Ft. McKinley Church. A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 20 from 5PM to 7PM at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, Trotwood. The funeral service will begin at 10:30AM on Wednesday, September 21 at the funeral home with Pastor Lonnie Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery, Hillsboro.
