GLANTON, Thomas Dale

Born November 20, 1927 in West Carrollton, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the age of 95.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, after which he worked for the USPS for 35 years, retiring at the age of 55. Dale was a Mason over 60 years in the Grand Lodge of Ohio and a member of the Antioch Shriners “Greeters Unit.”

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Bettie (Poston); his son Jeffrey T., and his parents, Tom and Goldie Nixon Glanton.

Dale is survived by his daughters, Linda Godley (Travis), of Walterboro, SC, and Sheila Shellabarger (Randy), of Centerville, Ohio; and granddaughter, Robin Shellabarger of Louisville, KY.

Dale was also a member of the New Lebanon Brethren Church for many years. He always enjoyed farming, flea markets and record collecting. His “Honor Flight” to Washington D.C. from Dayton was a special highlight of his life.

Visitation will be held from 12-1pm with Masonic service and funeral to begin at 1:00pm on Monday, July 17th at Rogers Funeral Home. Pastor Doug Criswell officiating. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
