Thomas E. Landis, 72, of Lewisburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 6th, 2026. He was born in Richmond, Indiana to the late Lucille (Sullivan) and Kenneth Landis. He is preceded in death by half-brother Richard Landis (Sr). Tom is survived by his son, Chris Landis, his grandsons, Noah and Ethan Landis, his sister, Marilyn Landis Marlin and beloved cousin Sandra Schiml and her daughters Patricia, Ann, and Teresa.
After retiring from his career as a highway worker, Tom set off on motorcycle adventures going coast to coast, to Alaska, the Grand Canyon, and everywhere in between. He was a man of many motorcycles and scooters to say the least. Tom would ride them all big or small; he went the distance near or far, with a buddy, in a pack, or all alone, he was in the wind as he is now. Tom also made his annual pilgrimage to the Vintage Motorbike Club swap meet in Portland, Indiana aka his playground to nourish the inner child through the simple pleasures of two-wheeled tinkering.
As part of the recovery community for over 3 decades, Tom was a devotee of The Big Book from cover to cover, and strong black coffee. He diligently worked the steps for himself and with others, and made a commitment to service that embodied humility, gratitude, and grace. He is beloved by so many folks who have been touched by his steadfastness and willingness to be available whenever he was called upon. Tom was and is an example of loving kindness and met people where they were in order to help them find a better way of living.
A Celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date. Please check back for updated information. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
