Truman Leo Dillon

April 5, 1924 — April 23, 2015

DILLON, Truman Leo Age 91, of New Lebanon, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 23, 2015. He was born in a farmhouse on April 5, 1924 in New Lebanon (Johnsville), Ohio to his parents, James & Lulu (Priser) Dillon. He died peacefully surrounded by family. Truman was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mrytle Wysong; brothers, Earl and Russell Dillon; and son, Bruce Dillon. Survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Norma Lee Dillon; sister, Violet Paullus; daughters, Karen (Larry) Moore, and Cheryl Dillon; sons, Lee (Pam) Dillon, and Mark (Debi) Dillon; 9 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Truman was a member of the New Lebanon United Methodist Church. He was a former Rotarian, City Councilman, Box 21 Rescue Squad, and the Airstream Wally Byam Caravan Club. He loved to visit the local nursing homes and hospitals. His work history includes many years as a Milk Man, first with Dillon’s Dairy and later on at Blossom Hill Dairy. He then worked at NCR for 10 years. He finished his working career at New Lebanon “Dixie” Local Schools as an Outdoor Maintenance Custodian, which he truly enjoyed. He loved being around the staff members and all the kids. Truman was definitely a people person who shared his love for them and for his Savior Jesus Christ. Many thanks go to Vancrest Health Care Center and the Hospice of Dayton nursing staff for the love and care.
