WINKLER, Vance D.

Age 53, of New Lebanon, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 5, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Alley; and step-father, Don Ball.

Vance is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Cindy Winkler; loving daughter, Kendra Winkler; sister, Melanie (Ray) Watkins; sister-in-law, Brandy (Martin) Mather; brother and sister-in-law, Jarrod & Heather Blamer; mother-in-law, Mary Brown; father-in-law, Wayne (Carol) Blamer; best friends, Jeff and Dawn Leonard; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Vance loved Dixie athletics and serving as a coach. He coached peewee, junior high, and varsity football for 19 years, varsity softball for the past 5 years, and his daughter Kendra’s teams since she was 5 years old. Vance enjoyed hunting, making people laugh, and was a great storyteller. He was also well known for coming in second place at the Leonard family gatherings and events. Vance touched the lives of so many kids over 20 plus years of coaching. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held from 3-5pm on Thursday, March 9th with Life Celebration service to follow at 5:00pm all at The New Lebanon Brethren Church, 32 S. Church St., New Lebanon, Ohio 45345. Pastor Kyle Wardlaw will be officiating. Condolences may be expressed online at: www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
