ROGERS, Vanice Virginia Age 90 of Clayton, formerly of Trotwood, Ohio passed away peacefully Friday October 25, 2013. She was born on July 22, 1923 to her parents, George & Emma (Denlinger) Wenger in Trotwood, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Lee Rogers in 2008; her daughter, Deborah Campbell in 2002; and all six brothers and sisters. Van is survived by her 3 children, Dian Rogers, Dean & wife Becky Rogers, and Doug & wife Cheri Rogers; 9 grandchildren, Todd (Colleen) Campbell, Tamar (Chris) Sauer, Dena Campbell (life partner Tony), Justin Rogers, Nathan (Renee) Rogers, Kevin (Danielle) Rogers, Jeff (Sharon) Rogers, Andy Smith, Natalie (Chris) Mundie; special son-in-law David Campbell; 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Vanice, along with her husband, Lee, co-founded Rogers' Funeral Homes, Inc. in Trotwood, Ohio in 1959. She was involved in many of the aspects of starting the new business all the while raising four children. Van was an avid golfer and played well into her 80's, traveling around Florida and other states, including Ohio, to many golf courses with Lee. She leaves a legacy of how to be a woman strong in spirit with kindness in heart. Visitation will be held from 10:30am – 12:30pm on Tuesday October 29thwith funeral service to follow at 12:30pm at Rogers' Funeral Home, 110 West Main St. Trotwood 45426. Pastor Phil Marxson officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
