Violet J. Goodpasture

GOODPASTURE, Violet J. Age 89 of Dayton, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 31, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; and 3 sons, Merideth, Buck, and Clarence. Violet is survived by her 4 daughters, Nellie (Jack), Kathy (Clarence), Edna, and Nancy (Floyd); 6 sons, Rosco, Clinton “Red” (Lois), Bill (many pets), Kenneth (Wanda), John (Donna), and Russ (Cheri); and 2 daughters-in-law, Ruth and Bev. She is also survived by 200 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Violet was a very loving mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of the Radcliff United Methodist Church. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. A Celebration of Violet’s life will be held 12:00 noon on Monday, April 4, 2011 at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, NEW LEBANON, 324 W. Main St. 45345 with Pastor Johnnie Graham Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
