Violet Roush

ROUSH, Violet Age 85 of West Chester, formally of Trotwood, passed away Wed. Aug 22, 2018. She was born in Adams Co, Ohio on Nov. 14, 1932 to her parents, Ana & Anna (Shipley) Swearingen. Along with her parents Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Roush; daughter, Patricia Roush; and 6 siblings.Violet is survived by 3 children, Deborah Barner, Michael (Sharon) Roush, and Rebecca Drewing; grandchildren, Stephanie (Drew) Moore, Sara Barner, Jeremy (Tiffany) Barner, Paula (Adam) Franklin, Kayla (Devon) Reed, Rebecca Walters, and Nolan Walters; also 10 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and one on the way. Violet resided in Trotwood during the time her kids were in school. She and Paul were very active in their children’s school activities. She bowled at Trotwood Lanes and was in a golf league in West Chester. In the spring, you would find her on the balcony in Cocoa beach and getting back to Ohio in time to tend to her flowers. Special thank you to Crossroads Hospice, especially Jennifer and Simone, her little angel. Also thanks to special neighbor Tim Cook for his care and support. Visitation will be 2-3 pm with funeral to follow at 3:00 pm on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018 at Rogers’ Funeral Home in Trotwood. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
