MOORE, Virgie Age 94 of Trotwood, died at home on Monday, Jan 21, 2020. She joins her husband of 53 years, William Harold Moore; her father and mother, Tilford & Mary Leach; sisters, Gladys Mchone and Hazel Leach; brother, Elmer Leach; and her grandchildren, Theresa, Mary, Zachary, and Joselyn. She was looking forward to her family reunion. She leaves behind her “favorite son” Charles Moore; daughter, Vickie (Eddie) Nelson, and her daughter and caregiver the “baby” Mickie Rice. Her 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren brought her much joy. She has 3 surviving sisters, Janette Moore, Bobbi Norfleet, and Wanda Daily. Virgie retired from St. Elizabeth after 30 years. She loved her neighbors, Ms. Truesdale, and Debbie, Brandon, and Savannah. It wasn’t unusual to see her front porch sitting. Virgie was a great story teller and could tell some colorful jokes. She would not want you to cry for her. She lived a good life and would want you to share her stories for generations to come. A visitation will be held from 11am- 12pm on Saturday, Jan. 25th at Rogers’ Funeral Home in Trotwood. A graveside service will follow immediately at Cedar Hill Cemetery. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
