Virgil M. "Sam" Norvell, Jr.

NORVELL, Virgil M. Jr. “Sam” Age 75, of Farmersville, went peacefully home to be with the Lord. He fell asleep and awoke in Heaven on Thursday, January 21, 2016. Sam was born February 21, 1940 in Dayton, to the late Virgil M. and Mary Catherine “Kate” Norvell. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Pat; children: Bill, Virgil (Jenny), Mark (Valerie), Wendy (John); grandchildren: Jenna, Zachary, Hannah, Stephen, Austin, Carter, Kennedy, and Gavin; sisters: Mac (Bill) and Marsha (Tim); and many more family and friends. Sam left behind his beloved Sunday School class and church family at Union Pentecostal Church. After retiring from GM, he joined the auction crew with his son-in-law at Muncy and Associates. The visitation will be Sunday, January 24 from 5PM to 7PM at Union Pentecostal Church, 1101 N Union Rd, Dayton, 45417. The funeral service will begin at 10AM on Monday, January 25 at the church with Pastor Clifford Hurst officiating. Burial will follow at Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria.
