Adkins, Vivian Arlene 88, of New Lebanon, went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2021 at Cypress Pointe Health Campus in Englewood. She was born in Eaton, Ohio on October 6, 1932 to Bertha (Davis) and Charles McGee. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 67 years, Elden B. “Stymie” Adkins; daughter, Yvonne Bowser; son-in-law, Gene Bowser; sisters, Grace Cornell, Irene Middaugh, and Charlotte Baker. She is survived by her children, Jack (Carla) Truesdale, Terry Adkins, and Sharon (Steve, a special son-in-law) Kreitzer; 2 loving grandchildren, Brent Bowser and Adam Bernheisel; special friends, Dick and Ginger Sullenberger, Midge Rother, Carol Nurrenbrock, Carol Kesling, and the family she gained at First Baptist Church of New Lebanon. Vivian retired from joint-vocational school as a secretary. Playing the piano, boating, and traveling are just a few of the things she enjoyed. Her deepest love was for the Lord, her husband, and her family. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of New Lebanon, 335 S. Church St. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 14 at the church at 12:00 p.m., with the family to receive guests an hour prior. Burial to follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery.
