Vivian R. Watkins Hart

Vivian Ruth (Baer) Watkins Hart died April 15, 2025, at the age of 99. She was born December 30, 1925, and raised on the family farm in Leipsic, Ohio, where she attended a one-room school house. She graduated from Leipsic High School.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love. A friend to many, she was a long-time member of The Trotwood United Church of Christ and sang in the choir for many years, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. She was an accomplished painter and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and baking. Her home-baked bread is legendary. She had proudly been to all fifty states and enjoyed traveling.

She is predeceased by her husband and father of her children, Richard E. Watkins, and second husband, Ralph Hart. She is survived by her son, Stephen R. Watkins (Kathy), daughters Janet K. Blackburn, and Jean M. Bauer (Robert), sister Mary Nickolson, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, along with countless family members and friends who felt her warmth and generosity.
