Wanda F. Yeary

YEARY, Wanda Age 85 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017. She was born on August 11, 1931 in Roda, VA to her parents, Benjamin & Leutishia (Childress) Moore who preceded her in death along with her husband, Dewey M. Yeary; brothers, Hobert, Gene, Otto, and Thomas Moore; son-in-law, Scott Kuhn; and great granddaughter, Amanda Vaughn. Wanda is survived by 3 children, Priscilla F. Kuhn, Wayne (Beth Bushong) Yeary, and Rick Yeary; brother, Robert Moore of Virginia; grandchildren, Crystal (Jim) Hill, Melisa (Craig) Westfall, Lisa (David) Whitesell, Dustin Yeary, and Andrew (Devon) Yeary; great-grandchildren, Sherrie (Anthony) Colon, James (Janelle) Hill, Jacob (Brittany) Hill, Alisha (Nick) Harlow, Jonathon Vaughn, Austin (Barb) Westfall, Chrisondra Garrett, Cydney Whitesell, and Airrika Westfall; great-great-grandchildren, Christopher-Alynn Payzant, Jalynn Hill, A.J. Colon, Jeremiah Hill, Eli Colon, Shyann Westfall, and Jace Hill; K-9 companion, Lady Lou; and numerous other family members and close friends. Wanda retired from Maria Joseph Nursing Facility after 28 years of service. She was also a 35 year member of Brookville Lake Resort. She enjoyed swimming, sun bathing, collecting angels, her soap operas, True Life magazines, and loved her family and friends. She had steel strength, gentle faith, lady like modesty, and was generous to a fault. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM with funeral to follow at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Rogers’ Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Pastor Donnie Smith officiating. Interment will follow the service at Forrest Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Wanda Yeary.
