Wayne Milyard

Wayne Alfred Milyard son of William Alfred and Gloria Esther Rumble Milyard passed away December 11, 2021 after a short illness related to covid. He was born November 5, 1969 in Dayton, Ohio, and passed away at the age of 52 years and 36 days. He is survived by his parents, brother Brian Kent Milyard and wife Caroline, two daughters, Andrea Marie and Alise Christy Jo, grandmother Beulah Mae Beckner Rumble and grandmother Rhoda Mae Lavy Milyard and by many cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Robert Wayne Rumble and Emmert Alfred Milyard. Wayne retired as a garage door installer about 5 years ago due to health reasons. Wayne never met a stranger. He developed many friends among his associates and fellow employees and indeed everywhere he went. After his retirement he faithfully assisted in the care of his invalid Grandmother Milyard and will be sorely missed in her care. Wayne was the oldest of 17 cousins on the Milyard side of the family. All the cousins have many fond memories of playing with him as they grew up. Wayne was their hero and the life of their party. He was gregarious and fun-loving, never taking life too seriously. He had a quick wit and always loved a joke and a good story. But Wayne was dependable. When he had a task he was prompt and thorough. You could count on Wayne to be on time and if you were in trouble and his health was good, he could be counted on for help. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Visitation will be from 10-11 am with funeral service to follow at 11:00 am on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021 at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon.
