Wendell R. Medlar

MEDLAR, Wendell R. “Wendy” Age 91, of Trotwood, passed away July 2, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Jeanne Sheldon Medlar. Wendell is survived by his wife, Margery Lightner Medlar; children, Gene E. (Kathleen) Medlar, Thomas R. Medlar, Kathy (Johnny) Morris, and Sandra Jane (Ed) Spreng; grandchildren, Ross A. Medlar, Breanne Medlar, Amy Spreng, Jeramy Glenn Spreng, Shawn T. Medlar, Johnny M. Morris, Candy (Douglas) Searcy, Valerie Gibson, Craig Hicks, Mark Hicks, and Crystal Morris; 15 great grandchildren; and special friends, Kathy Anne Smith, the Duggan family, and Don Eyler. He had a fantastic sense of humor, and was a professional musician who played piano, organ, and keyboards for private parties and many dinner clubs in the Dayton and Columbus area. The family will receive friends Friday, July 7 from 12PM to 1PM at Trotwood United Church of Christ, 18 N. Broadway, Trotwood, 45426. A Memorial Service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Larry Ganger officiating. A luncheon will begin afterwards at the church.
