WHIPP, Wendell Raymond Age 86 of Dayton, Ohio, formally of Farmersville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Heartland of Greenville Nursing Home in Greenville, Ohio. He was born September 20, 1931 to the late Raymond E. Whipp & Ethel L. (Boomershine) Whipp in Dayton, Ohio. Wendell was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis & Harry Shartle; brother-in-law, Roy Craig; and brother, William “Bill” Whipp. He will be missed and remembered by his sister, Barbara (Whipp) Craig; and sister-in-law, Patricia Whipp; nieces, Cindy Shartle, Lori (Dan) Lacey, Carolyn Shartle, Angie (Jim) Kastel, Darlene Pechacek, Beth Rindler, and Cristal (Raymond) Kremer; nephews, Dan (Janette) Shartle, and Raymond “Scott” (Crystal) Whipp; plus, numerous great nieces and nephews. Wendell was a 1949 graduate of Farmersville High School and a graduate of Miami Oxford University. He proudly served in the Army from 1955 to 1957, then transferred to the Army Reserves from 1957-1963. Wendell worked at Proctor and Gamble, had a short teaching career, worked for the Dayton PBS T.V. station and ended with a security occupation in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 11am-12pm with funeral to follow at12:00 pm on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Rogers’ Funeral Homes, 324 W. Main St, New Lebanon, Ohio 45345.
