Wilcie J. Rollins

ROLLINS, Wilcie J. (Hargraves) Age 83, flew to Heaven on the wings of angels on Monday, January 30, 2017. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family members. Wilcie is survived by her sister, Doris McConnell; children, Debra Chappel (Brad), Penny Watkins (Rick), Jill Rollins (Dale), Cindy Hipsher (Mike), and David Rollins (Patsy) as well as multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis; her son, Edward; her mother, father, two sisters, and a one brother. Wilcie was born on March 5, 1933 in Rose Hill, Virginia. She moved from Virginia to the Dayton area with her husband in 1954 who she partnered with to own their own excavating business. Along with being a loving mother of six children, and devoted wife, she was also a registered nurse, and an admired, dependable friend to many. She will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1-3 PM with Celebration of Wilcie’s life to follow at 3:00 PM on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Pastor Stephen Betts will be officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria at the convenience of the family.
