William "Bill" W. Peters

PETERS, William “Bill” W. Jr., Ph.D Age 73 of Troy, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 8, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and William W. Peters, Sr.; and 1 brother, David Peters. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Helen (Delk) Peters; 2 sons, Dow (Kim) and Doug (Nancy) Peters; 4 grandchildren, Kelsey, Dow II, Chad, and Jordan Peters; 2 step-grandchildren, Andy and Katy Hildreth; mother-in-law, Ruby Delk; brother, Mark Peters; and many more family members and dear friends. Bill graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1956 and served proudly as a L/CPL in the U.S. Marine’s Reserve for 6 years. Bill attended Christian Bible College and earned an Associates of Bible Studies from Vision Christian Bible College & Seminary. Bill also has a Master’s Degree in Church Business Administration and earned his Doctorate in Philosophy in Religion. Bill was a Full Gospel Business Men International lifetime member and a certified Pastor member with the National Christian Counselor Assoc. A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Salem Church of God, 6500 Southway Rd., Clayton, OH 45315, with Dr. Lee Ault officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM until the start of the service. Interment will follow at a later date.
