CLAYTON, William T.

Age 98 of New Lebanon, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022. He was born March 13, 1924 in Charleston, West Virginia and he grew up in Frenchburg, Kentucky. The son of Charles Thornton and Nancy Elizabeth (Spencer) Clayton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pauline (Pitts) Clayton; sisters, Kathleen Barr and Christine Maxey; brothers, Van Clayton and Bobby Clayton; and son-in-law, Hank Kettler.

Survived by children, James, Thomas, Nancy (Don) Back, Bobby (Jenny), and Madonna Kettler; siblings, Charles (Carleen) Clayton, and Lucy (J.W.) Clayton-Wilson; grandchildren, Stacy, Steven Jr., Kristy, James Jr., Shawnta, Annabelle, Richard, Cassidy, William, and Kara; as well as 18 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

He was an avid fisher and hunter. Story telling was one of his favorite past times. Bill drove a truck for Moraine Box Co. for 17 years and went on to retire from Dayton Tire and Rubber after 10 years.

A visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm and funeral service will be 1:00pm on Wednesday
