COOK, William Lowell Age 80 of Trotwood, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, William G. & Lula Cook; and sister, Delores Beck. William is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Laura J. Cook; 2 sons, William C. (Sherry) Cook, David E.(Diana) Cook; daughter, Margaret (Bruce) Cook-Meyer; brother, Benny Cook of Pulaski, VA;4 grandchildren, Kristina (Trent) Cook-Blakely, David (Henrietta) Cook, William (Jennifer) Cook, and Shannon (Mark) Cook-Spanier; 8 great-grandchildren; and many more family members and friends. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955. He loved to hunt, fish, and play his steel guitar. William was a lifetime member of the Country Western Music Assoc. of Dayton and life member the VFW Post 3288 in Brookville. He will be missed. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM with funeral service following at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at Rogers' Funeral Home in Trotwood. A graveside service with military honors will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
