SAMS, William “Bill” (NMN) Age 60, formerly of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 30, 2011. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Opal & Clayton Chester; his mother, Helen Cumby, and father, Matt Sams; sister, Connie Sams; mother and father-in-law, J.L. & Gladys Allen; sister-in-law, Brenda; niece, Amber; and great nephew, Tristan. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Wilma; daughter, Leeanna (Tommy) Collins; son, Alex (Shannon) Sams; 2 grandchildren, Brittany (Chris), and Brooke; great-granddaughter, Hailey; 3 brothers; 1 sister; 2 twisted sisters-in-law, Patricia (Eddie), and Cathy (David); also very dear friends, Bob and Dianna Turner. Bill is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, Paula, Jay (Tara), Kristina (Shawn), Patrick (Brandy & baby Patrick), Maria, Anthony, Kyle, Emilee, Kassiddee, Aleah, Dominick, Austin, Lily, Preston, Magahn (Jeremy), Zoe, and Livvy. Also many more friends, family members and colleagues from work. Bill was a graduate of Washburn School of law in Kansas and proudly served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was Regional Director of A.F.S.C.M.E Ohio Council #8 Southeastern Ohio. Bill was also know far and wide as the best lead guitar player in the Universe. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 a ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, NEW LEBANON 324 W. Main St. 45345, with Rev. Jim Hart officiating. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
