Zelma Claggett

Claggett, Zelma (Brandenburg) Age 92, formerly of New Lebanon, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 25, 2014. She was born July 8, 1921 in Jackson, Ohio to the late Ward and Thelma (Neville) Brandenburg. She was preceded in death by husbands, Lowell Ballinger and John E. Claggett, her son John F. Claggett, brother Joseph Brandenburg and sister, Zola Neanover. Zelma was a homemaker and loved to care for her seven children. She is survived by her children Danny (Sheila) Claggett, Kenneth (Jeanie) Claggett, Linda (Chuck) Colvin, Sylvia Claggett, Jeri (Jack) Stair and Lori Gillen and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Zelma enjoyed the 15 years she lived in Fairhope, Alabama with husband John and daughters Sylvia and Lori and Grandson Stephen. The family would like to thank the staff of Brookhaven and Heartland Hospice for the love and care they provided. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Rogers' Funeral Home, 324 West Main St., New Lebanon, Ohio 45345. Chaplain Candy Null officiating. Graveside service will be 10:30 AM Friday morning at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville.
